About Lea

I have a passion to make yoga fun and accessible to all people. I truly believe yoga should be lighthearted, set to great music, with one on one attention and hands on adjustments. My decades of practice and now years of teaching, along with my life coaching, allow me to offer so much back to you. There is tremendous power in yoga. From the breathing practices to the physical postures, this is a tool for life to help you heal body, mind and soul.

I have suffered with asthma from a very early age. My parents found singing lessons for me so I could learn to train my breath. In college, I found yoga in the studios of NYC. The same (and more) breathing practices were supported along with powerful poses to move my body. I was a believer! Today, although I still suffer with asthma, I have a toolbox full of useful techniques to help me live my best life. These tools I can share with you.

Along with my yoga training, I went to school for theatre and also acquired a masters in education. I have a teacher’s heart. In my late 20’s and into my 30’s I taught elementary school, so teaching yoga to kids is not only fun, but a great way to instill coping tools for those stressful times in their early years in school. My love of entertaining means you will see a little fun, perhaps even a bit silly side of me when I teach. If it’s not fun …. why do it? So let’s have fun together.

My husband and I build a beautiful home on a marsh in West Ashley that now has a lovely yoga space where I can welcome you. Folding glass doors mean I can open the wall fully to bring the outside in! There is an amazing view of the marsh and out to the Stono River. It is a place to rest, rejuvenate and find serenity.
